About Dr. Michael Paltiel

Michael Paltiel M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the StonyBrookUniversityMedicalCenter where he maintains a clinical practice with time devoted to seeing patients and teaching medical student and residents who are training in Dermatology.

Dr. Paltiel received his medical degree, with distinction, from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He performed his internship in Internal Medicine at Cabrini-Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Paltiel has presented at a number of national and international dermatology meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology meetings in Washington DC and San Francisco CA, World Congress of Dermatology in Argentina 2007 and International Investigative Dermatology meeting in Japan 2008. He is a recipient of numerous awards. He conducted research and has a number of publications in peer reviewed dermatology journals. His findings in dermatology have been cited in one of the most commonly used dermatology textbooks (Andrews,' Diseases of the Skin). He also serves as a peer editor of a number of dermatology journals. He has extensive experience in medical dermatology and believes in optimizing your skin health so you can look and feel your best at any age. Dr. Paltiel is known for his thorough, individualized approach in the treatment of each patient.
